I am a Croatian actress, passionate about theatre, travel and discovering the unknown, curious to observe how theatre and its practice vary in different countries.
I begun my drama training in Italy at the academy of drama Accademia Teatrale Città di Trieste and I continued my training in London’s International School of Theatre Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance , where for 3 years I followed BA (Hons) European Theatre Arts. The training focused on the work of ensemble and creation, engaging with the work of practitioners who marked theatre of 20th century. The course gave me the opportunity to experiment with new theatrical forms and develop research as a practice. While studying in Rose Bruford I also had the opportunity to enrich my training at the National Drama school of Spain in Madrid, Real Escuela Superior de Arte dramatico , as an Erasmus exchange student.
During the second year of my studies, I got invited to be part of Chaménos Collective with whom I performed Painted Faces at the Vaults Festival in London. Then, upon graduation, with my fellow students we had created Against Nothingness , a show directed by respected Polish actors and directors Andrzej Welminski and Teresa Welminska, which is then performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
I then moved to France where I engaged with various theatre companies and other artistic projects and I continue to discover and learn new practices such as puppetry and shadow theatre. Since this discovery, I am more and more attracted by the young audiences theatre which allows me to mix different practices such as theatre, dance, puppetry, shadow, music and other.
Led by the desire to create for the young audience by mixing practices that fascinate me, in collaboration with a musician, in 2018 we created our theatre company La Douce Compagnie .
